How to use Cora’s journal and mood charts

Check the date in Journal, write your entry and optionally save a mood. Select the weekly or monthly chart range and press Show. The chart summarises days with a saved mood in that range; it does not treat empty days or unsaved drafts as observations.

Check the date and notebook first

When editing an earlier day, confirm which date is open. Text, a title, tags and a mood can belong to the same entry; their meaning is yours to decide. Choosing the correct notebook and date makes entries easier to find later.

Drafts, saved entries and edits

After writing, use Save. Once the saved state appears, return to the list and check the entry. Text visible in an editor is not necessarily a permanent saved record. If an error appears, do not assume success: keep your text while checking the problem. Save again after making an edit.

Read weekly and monthly charts accurately

Choose Weekly, 7 days, or Monthly, 30 days, then press Show. Read the displayed start and end dates. If you saved moods on only three days, the distribution uses those three days; missing days are not automatically counted as neutral or positive. Editing one day does not add a second independent day; the latest saved value is used.

Find older entries

Use search and tag filters to narrow the list. An entry hidden by a filter is different from a deleted entry. Clear the search and select all tags before assuming a record is missing. Export a JSON backup before moving phones; a chart image or PDF alone is not a restorable backup.

Understand the chart’s limits

The chart is a numerical summary of the moods you chose to record. It is not a psychological test, diagnosis, pregnancy assessment or professional healthcare opinion. Support usually needs the date range and reproduction steps rather than your private journal text.
