Check the saved date, notification permission and device settings step by step.
Reminders help you follow an important date, but notification permission, phone availability and battery settings can affect delivery. For critical deadlines, do not rely on a single notification; also check the record and the date stated by your provider.
Check the saved record first
Open document details. Is the end date in the correct day, month and year? Is the reminder preference for this record? A reminder 15 days before the end is not a reminder on the final day. Compare dates with the source document instead of assuming OCR was correct.
Check notification permission
Look at the app’s notification settings on your phone. Disabled notifications can prevent an alert from appearing. Menu names vary by phone and Android version. Do Not Disturb and silent-notification settings can also affect what you notice.
Review battery and background settings
Some devices restrict background work. Read the manufacturer’s guidance for this app’s battery settings. Do not turn off security protections across the device. Exact delivery is not guaranteed while the phone is off or system work is restricted.
Instead of changing a real deadline, create a separate sample record using supported date options. Note the date and reminder choice. Remove only the disposable sample after checking delivery.
What to include in a support request
- Phone model and Android version
- App version
- Expected notification date and reminder preference
- Whether notification permission is enabled
- Whether the issue affects one record or every record
Do not send private documents, passwords or payment details. Describe the issue to [email protected].
A reminder does not perform an action
A notification does not cancel a contract, renew a subscription or pay a bill. Complete those actions with the relevant provider yourself. Check and back up your records separately.
Keep bill due dates distinct from contract end dates. See the monthly bill example for amounts, due dates and manual check notes. It is not an automatic payment or notification system.
